We are delighted to announce that Masoomin Sports Club FA has today completed its affiliation with Birmingham County FA. This is a historic moment for the club as it is the first time that we have applied for and achieved affiliate status.
▪What does this mean▪
Being Affiliated means we will be following best practices as set out by the FA, to deliver a safe, respectful and professional playing environment.
As an affiliated club, we will be implementing a number of safe guarding measures such as having a Safeguarding Policy, carrying out Criminal record checks for all our coaches and volunteers.
We have also appointed club welfare officers whose job will be to ensure all coaches, volunteers, parents and everyone else involved with the club, understand that they had ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people.
▪How does affiliation benefit the club, players and coaches:
● Being legally affiliated to the Amateur Football Alliance (AFA)
● Contacts with local leagues, clubs and players
● Discipline, fair play and respect
● Funding Oppurtunities
● Access to advise from Birmingham FA staff plus FA regional development, coaching and facilities personnel
● Access to purchase public liability and personal injury insurance for our club, team and players
● Access to The FA welfare programme
● Access to player and coaching development opportunities
