Ali Asghar Water Appeal Walk-A-Thon

Masoomin Sports Club in collaboration with the KSIMCB Ladies Committee will be hosting a Birmingham Walk-a-thon to raise funds for the Ali Asgher Water Appeal. 

Come along with your families on Sunday 4th August 2024 at 10 AM for a fundraising walk commencing at the Al-Abbas Islamic Centre.

This year, all funds raised will go towards installation of water wells in the Ngora, Soroti and Kumi Districts of Uganda. Each hand-dug water well will be equipped with a pump and tank. 

The average cost per well is £948. With up to 30 wells required to be installed, every penny you donate helps towards this worthy cause.

Each water well will benefit over 36,000 individuals (men, women and children) by bringing life-changing sustainable WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) solutions to areas and families who are less fortunate than we are and whose only hope is our generosity. Therefore, if we can raise enough for 30 wells, this will benefit over a million people in the region! 

Help us give vulnerable communities access to water and work towards an end to a crisis that causes disease, hinders economies, restricts development, and disproportionately affects women and children.
